Stories of Goodness: Easter Baptism and Membership at Peace Church on 52nd
This past Sunday (Easter Sunday), PC52 welcomed and celebrated Juhee Choi’s Baptism and Jin Kim into membership!
The mother and daughter duo have recently moved from Korea, and are excited to be part of a church that talks about Jesus and serves the community.
Jin has recently started a monthly kids ministry on Sunday mornings at Peace Church on 52nd. She is in school to be an Educational Assistant, and is using what she is learning to support the children at the church learn more about Jesus. Jin has quickly become a regular at the church, involved everywhere she possibly can - including the blanket making ministry and weekly Food Hub distribution. She is kind, and passionate about her faith, and is a very welcome addition to the congregation.
Juhee is an incredible artist at her young age of 12 (13 in Korea).
When she shared her testimony with the church before her Baptism, she presented a drawing she made to represent who she knows Jesus to be.
As the water poured over her head, Juhee erupted in giggles which was quickly joined in by the congregation. It was a
beautiful representation of the Easter Story that Sunday, reminding us of the utter Joy in the Lord we have. He has risen!
